Story: Maybe I am in a good enough mood that this review will be bias. Maybe you won’t care? Oh well, I am pretty sure I am going to rip this episode apart no matter how good of a mood I am in. So this episode now resolve all the crap that involved Ohsugi being kidnapped when he actually was not. This somehow turns into “Ohsugi Master Detective” episode. This guy just annoyingly throughout a 3rd of the episode is playing little boy detective, which is the worse plot device they use to move the story. His ambitions to protect Saki is really not something to delve into too much. Should have ended when he found out about Akira. The second parallel story running is about Akira getting information from the people of Eden about some guy name Pantsu. Pantsu supposedly can help him read and retreive information from the selacao phone. Saki and Michon decide to go with Akira so Pantsu will let him in. This leads to some pretty unexciting conflicts about each chracter. Though since I have already watch episode 9 it effects my view on why this episode suck. Because this episode was truly a set up to how good the next ended up to be. Still, this episode sucked.

Animation:I.G. studios rarely goes wrong in the animation department even when the story dips, and this episode is no exception. While not top line work like they crank out, it was pretty much what I would want from a checklist of things I am looking for. The opening scene where Akira is dreaming is probably a good example of some great animation that is pretty much seen throughout the episode. While it was overall just great, it did not have that special something episode 1 did that made it stand out so much animation wise.
Grade-A-
Overall:Seriously if you are watching this series you already expect high animation. You are probably solely basing your enjoyment from the stroy. Well it failed in this episode. If you are one of those guys who still will watch for just eyecandy, I guess is still there. I can’t really sum up anymore than “this episode story suck, but it had great animation.” So is not going to deter me from finishing the series, but I have my doubts about how good it will end.
